TOUR OF OMAN - STAGE 1: IN THE BREAK

Marco started his season last week on Mallorca as he competed in the first two challenges of the five-day event on the Island. After doing his work for Greipel in the first two challenges Marco traveled to the middle east to compete in the first edition of the Tour of Oman.

In the first stage, held in the evening, Marco was part of a break with Robert Hunter, Nikita Eskov and Lieuwe Westra. After being caught in the penultimate lap (the riders had to do 16 laps of 4km) the stage ended in a sprint won by Jimmy Casper. Marco ended in the bunch.

His goal is to do well in the overall ranking with a ITT on the final day.
